Siemens Valve Positioners
Siemens valve positioners are intelligent electro-pneumatic positioners for pneumatic linear and rotary actuators, with SIPART PS2 as the flagship product and SIPART PS100 covering standard applications. They receive 4–20 mA, HART, PROFIBUS PA or FOUNDATION Fieldbus signals, compare the setpoint with the actual valve position, and control the actuator air supply through a piezo valve for high-precision positioning.
SIPART PS2 supports single-acting and double-acting actuators, offers polycarbonate, aluminum, stainless steel and explosion-proof housings, and provides IP66/NEMA 4X protection with ATEX, IECEx, FM and CSA certifications. Recent versions use a non-contact NCS position sensor, Bluetooth connectivity with the SITRANS mobile IQ app, automatic initialization, partial stroke testing, fail-safe hold and advanced diagnostics. Typical applications include chemical, oil and gas, power generation, water treatment, pharmaceutical and process automation.
