SIMATIC ET 200SP is Siemens’ highly flexible, modular distributed I/O system with IP20 protection, designed for compact control cabinet installation. It connects to higher-level controllers via PROFINET IO, PROFIBUS DP or MultiFieldbus (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP), and can be expanded with up to 64 digital, analog, fail-safe, technology, communication and IO-Link modules.
The system features a 100 MBit/s backplane bus, tool-free spring-type terminals, hot-swappable modules and self-assembling voltage groups, which significantly reduce wiring effort and cabinet space. Fully integrated in TIA Portal, it supports PROFIenergy, configuration control, electronic rating plates and detailed channel-level diagnostics for fast commissioning and maintenance.
Typical applications include machine building, packaging, logistics, process automation and high-availability systems with redundancy or open controller solutions.
