SINAMICS S220
SINAMICS S220 is Siemens’ next-generation high-performance modular drive system, succeeding SINAMICS S120. Centered on the CU320-3 control unit, it supports up to 12 axes per unit and uses 1 Gbit/s DRIVE-CLiQ Express for fast communication.
Available in Booksize, Chassis, Universal and Cabinet formats, it covers up to 110 kW in Booksize and up to about 6,984 kW in parallel chassis/cabinet configurations at 380–480 V. With 300% overload capability, SIL 3 safety, IEC 62443 cybersecurity, and TIA Portal / DriveSim Designer integration, it suits machine tools, robotics, packaging and high-end multi-axis motion control.
