Siemens Level Measurement
Siemens level measurement is based on the SITRANS portfolio, covering radar, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, capacitance and hydrostatic level technologies for liquids, solids, slurries and interface measurement.
The radar range includes SITRANS LR500 80 GHz FMCW radar, SITRANS LR560 and LR460 for solid bulk materials, SITRANS LR200 for liquid and slurry tanks, and SITRANS Probe LR as a compact two-wire radar level transmitter. Ultrasonic solutions include SITRANS Probe LU240 and SITRANS LU series for open tanks, channels and water applications. Guided wave radar is covered by SITRANS LG, capacitance measurement by SITRANS LC300, and hydrostatic level measurement by SITRANS LH100 submersible level transmitters. Pointek point level switches provide overfill, low-level and dry-run protection.
Most devices support 4–20 mA, HART, PROFIBUS PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFINET or Modbus communication and can be configured via SIMATIC PDM or the SITRANS mobile IQ app. Typical applications include water and wastewater, chemical, oil and gas, power generation, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cement and general process industries.
